This enterprise knowledge portal (EKP) is a platform for organizing and accessing knowledge. This eKportal acts as a gateway for the collective knowledge assets of the organizations.

K-Categorizer
 
  • Helps build taxonomy based on knowledge area, skills level, knowledge function and subject area.
  • Mapping of organization hierarchy and knowledge hierarchy help manage knowledge in a secured way
  • Supports both auto and manual categorization. It helps organize and access the knowledge assets efficiently.
  • Master taxonomy is maintained for reusing standard knowledge category in a consistent way
  • Context information is maintained for the currently selected category to provide "single-click access" to various related knowledge.
K-Connector
 
  • Intelligent connectors support rule-based and context-sensitive links for easy navigation.
  • Helps build meta-knowledge ("knowledge about knowledge") to gain deeper understanding and clarity.

K-Navigator
 
  • List provides option to define queries, field and row level links, sorting/grouping option, and generate list dynamically.
  • Provides knowledge map to navigate through the collective knowledge base easily and without pain. It includes hierarchical navigation for the knowledge category.
  • Context-sensitive navigation is supported to help users access all related knowledge based on what they are looking at currently.
  • "Single-click access" helps locate related knowledge quickly without wasting any extra time. It helps save time dramatically and hence improve productivity.
  • In the case of learning map, tree-based navigation is supported.
  • Level-based (skills) navigation helps look at the knowledge based on the current and expected skills-level of the users.
K-Finder
 
  • Helps find knowledge quickly. This searches both databases and files stored outside the database.
  • It is also integrated with external search engine.
  • This flexible find option helps define search criteria for each search items such as knowledge share activities, content, experts and so on. These search criteria can be updated anytime without affecting the programs.
  • Lists / reports has context-sensitive find option to provide quick access to lengthy lists / reports.
  • It also has support for menu-based quick find (automatically generated) to list group of items based on a criteria such as status, type and so on.
Personalizer
 
  • UI theme can also be customized to help users change the look and feel of the knowledge portal.
  • "Our" personalizer help team leaders to define the personalization based on their team profile and needs. The members can easily enter the team area to look at the team specific knowledge.
  • Subscription option help knowledge workers define their preferences for questions they want to answer, problems they want to solve and so on.
  • Personalization summary and subscription summary are generated to check the details of least and most personalized or subscribed knowledge areas.
User and Security Manager
 
  • Supports user registration and profile management.
  • Login and password can be managed.
  • It also supports LDAP integration.
  • Administrator can use the login administration interface to manage the login.
  • Privilege management helps secure the knowledge base based on the people role.
